I hate dying haha!!
Last Death
Died to: Savendra, child of nature
Time: November 6, 2004
Reason for Death: I let myself get below my limit of 600 hp, and at 557 hp, Savendra caught me right as she died, dropped me to around 300, then got pixie blasted.
Exp Lost: 20,000,000
Stat Lost: Dex
Coins Lost: None, Poeun went in and got them. 4.9 million coins.
I was just thinking that I might make it to one year without dying. Well, I was wrong. Oh well, I'll train this dex up!!
This is my journal to discuss happenings in Tharsis Gate.

I saved up 200 million exp and trained block from 1150 to 1306. Of course, I don't notice the difference, but that's normal I guess. I sometimes wonder if I should be spending all my exp on ot.st instead of anything else. I wish they would integrate 'hiding' into something that would help us, after all, thieves are suppposed to be stealthy/sneaky, and that should account for something in combat shouldn't it?
Right now I'm at about 25 million exp and I don't really have any clue what I'll spend it on, which is sort of odd, I've always had a plan up till now, so I'm just gaining exp without a real idea of (what) or when I'll spend it (on).
With 4500 pointed and 4700 attack you would think that I'd be able to kill things faster than I do. I think about the only way a thief skill could equal the storm L shield is if thieves had a 'stop combat' or something. L shield is just crazy.

Okay, well, I've been saving up information on a little sheet of paper here on my desk for some time now, listing my pointed and attack, etc, so I can keep track of how I'm doing. This game is basically a collection of statistics anyway, so I figured, hey, what the hell, I'll put it all on Excel, and this is what I came up with:
Excel Stats
Oh I can hear it now "WHAT?? YOU MADE A GRAPH?" Yes I did, so blow me!! I enjoy stats, so much so, that I went and did a little research project...
I took the four basic pointed weapons that are mostly used:
Tainted Knife, Glittering Dagger, Dragonlance, Stone Dagger
And using each one, I killed 5 gnolls, timing each gnoll I killed. I came up with this graph of results:
Pointed Weapons Comparison
I dropped the highest time (red) and the lowest time (green) off, leaving the middle 3, of which I took the average of.
The tainted knife, being the most powerful 'combat' weapon (without gcommand or special's use) was given the top score of 100, which, for comparison purposes, can be called a percentage. The other weapons are given a number that is the overall percentage of power that the tainted knife has. Hence, the stone dagger is 35% as powerful as the tainted knife, for a power rating of 35.
I don't really have enough edged (see above) to do this test with edged weapons, and I know damn well i don't have enough blunt at all. But I know a lot of the newbie players question what weapons are best or worst, etc.
I will hopefully update this graph with sky dagger, flash dagger, ice dagger, demon spear, and perhaps even shortsword, spear, and plain ole' guild dagger, if they will ever kill a gnoll.

I am STILL training sneaking. At this time, I have:
stealth sneaking: 702/ 554
inside 687/ 548
outside 718/ 561
I'm going to keep going till I reach 750 st.sn. After that, who knows? Maybe more block? I need more, that is for sure. What stinks is that, even with decent backstabbing skills, I seem to still miss my bs's all the time. I wonder how successful backstabbing percentages compare with successful lit percentages for storms. Something tells me that storms don't miss lits nearly as much as thieves miss backstabs. Oh, but that's okay, storms have l-shield so it all evens out. Wait, whaaa??? Okay, enough about that.
I think people get way too upset about losing strength when they die. To be quite honest, a diligent person can gather 5 million coins in about a week of regular playing, if they are really working at it. Now, I understand that I'm better at it than some people, but even so, it's not all that hard to travel back and forth from VoL to Shadow Realm and gather up coins using gcommands to kill mobs, then go around and exp in your regular areas till your Gp builds back up. I don't let anyone borrow coins, because that's just foolishness, people can gather their own and be better for having done so.
I solved 2 quests at one time, wish I could actually talk about them here, but for obvious reasons, I can not. I'm the only person to ever solve these two quests (in the last 6 months, but hey, who's counting?). They are as follows:
Not Afraid of Shadows
Initiate of Peace
Now, with the first one as my quest title and my guild title combined on 'who', this is what it looks like:
(149) Minion the Shadow, Not Afraid of Shadows, Captain Hilarious
So, basically, I'm not afraid of myself, which is a good thing. Far too many people fear themselves, I'm sure of it. At least, I believe that is a major problem these days. I know Pyro is afraid of himself, he blabbers a lot about it. Well, I'll post this now and get to bed, Aqua Teen Hunger Force is on, and they rock!!!

Sneaking is up, from 323/376 to 534/496. I've been training that exclusively. I'm going to get it up to 600, after that I'll decide if I want to go higher or train block some more. Part of me wants to earn 200 million exp next and train block again, but wow that's freaking tedious. Killed ranger, Kehl, and Savendra last night, by myself, for the first time. Took a little while but was a lot easier than I thought it would be. At least I know it's possible to do, if I ever have a full day to play, which seems few and far between. Well, anyways, I'm off to party at a lake. Hope I don't get confused while I'm there and backstab someone with a plastic picnic knife. Ciao!!

GREETINGS!! One month has gone by, just a couple of days ago I achieved my goal of 150,000,000 Exp, and I used it all on block. That gave me 150 block for a grand total of 1150. Now I'm just playing and saving up Exp and for once I really don't know what I'm going to be spending it all on. My stealth attack passed up my pointed for the first time ever, it's odd really, you can look at my skills site and see the progress as attack slowly crept up and finally surpassed my pointed over the last few months.
I tried using all my Gp for backstabs, but that's pretty damn tedious. I went right back to doing stabs to use up my Gp, I get more aa's, although they are probably useless at this point, with 3300+ pointed and attack, I doubt any more will make all that much difference.
My guess is I'll get Metallica to train me in stealth sneaking a couple times, to upgrade my crappy backstabbing abilities.

I just wanted to gloat just a bit, 3000 pointed is a reasonably nice number, if I do say so myself. Also, I'm at 972 Gp, so I'm getting very near my goal of 1000.
Again, I must reiterate, if you get nothing from reading this, yet you are still here, that means you must get SOMETHING from it, regardless of what you say.
Anyways, that is all for now!!

I was just thinking today that I had not died in a long time... and WHAM I die today, isn't that just wonderful? I figured you would think so. I suppose my problem is that I tend to find the use of Q gear irresistable and I always want to kill things with it on and trying to kill them in one round. In this case:
Last Death
Died to: Tebarin, Gnoll Elite
Time: March 14, 2004
Reason for Death: thought I could kill him in one round, let myself get down to 343 hp and he smashed the fuck out of me in one hit.
Exp Lost: 25,000,000
Stat Lost: Int
Coins Lost: None, quit right away, regrouped, logged back in, 'church' and then went back to get my gear. I had only 2500 coins on me though haha.
Not fun, especially considering that I had enough to train st.po, but oh well, shit happens, Int isn't that hard to gain. I can't believe out of like 17 times I've died I've only lost one strength.

Today was a day just like any other day, nothing new happened in the game. I couldn't kill anything big because our guild is all fucked.
Cheetara started talking to me about how much she loved me and maybe we should meet sometime which sort of pissed me off because she knows that me and Rvd are involved and I think she is trying to start trouble again.
Had to help Metallica with failing fisherman again, I wish he would learn to just do things on his own and quit always asking for help. And he always wants me to train him in ot.st and co.me.bl when he has like enough for 1 level, it's really irritating.
I had to deal with Pikachu messaging me like 20 times over and over asking for quest information when I've told him before to knock it off, so what does he do? He proceeds to post the f word all over shout auction and gossip flooding like mad, but do the wizards care? No, they don't as usual.
Lionpaw was promoted to apprentice, this makes no fucking sense at all, the first thing he did was gagged Poeun, which is crazy, because Poeun is so loving and helpful and never does anything wrong in the game at all.
At least we have Ink and Eminem to help newbies out, I saw both of them tonite showing newbies how to use weapons, giving them pointers about how to move around the game and get started and such, they are such great guys, so helpful, always willing to lend a hand to those in need. Makes the game a real joy to be around.
Anyways, it's time for me to head to bed, so I guess I'll just post more to this journal later.
Oh, and fuck you all for reading this and making fun of it earlier : ) have a great night.

AA's are becoming few and far between nowadays, I'm lucky to get one in attack or one in pointed for each full set of stabs I do using all my gp on stabs. That's one of the reasons I'm raising my gp up to insure I can have more stabs to work with. I don't think I've seen an ot.st aa since before I hit puberty. Another problem I'm confronted with is, when exactly do I want to redo my skills page, considering that after awhile, skills increasing slows down?
It does give me something to do though, checking my kills total, how many coins I've gained over time, etc. It's good to have something to compare with, I don't have this site or journal so much for anyone else nearly as much as for myself. All I can say is, if someone doesn't like my tharsis site, you can enjoy a big bowl of fat cock for all I care.

Correction to my last post... I just realized this as I was reading it: I have trained stealth points again to gain guild points and I now have 881 Gp. As I read my last post I realized I was wearing stat gear, which was why I had 878 Gp. I'm trying to find a lighter armor item than the iron plate, because I want to carry full rose gear when I'm exp'ing and right now I can't carry bracelet, it's too heavy. I know the black plate is lighter, but hell if I could kill KoU I would use the black boots also and not have anything to worry about at all in terms of carrying gear.
I have some thoughts about godly armour. Considering the difficulty involved to attain this armor, I think it would be a good idea to change the stats set up so that you can keep your stats you improve while wearing the armor for that entire boot. I mean, in all seriousness, to go thru the trouble to get godly armour, you improve your stats but you don't want to chance trying your improved character against a difficult mob that you will/may have to quit while fighting because you will lose your stats you have gained.
If you quit, it would be great if you could keep those stats when you log back in. Now, there may be things I don't know about here, such as feasability with the coding and what not, but it seems to me that what could be called the best piece of armour in the game could use this as a major improvement.

Trained st.po tonite, I'm up to 878 Gp and still climbing... I figure a little over 5 more training sessions to 1000 and then we'll see where we go. I have given a lot of thought about how I might train for block next, and I believe I'm going to be trying to save up enough to train 120 (3 sessions) of block, which could mean about 150,000,000 Exp, a lovely round number.
It's still disheartening to know that as you get stronger as a thief, you cannot even compare to a storm or druid's ability to kill large mobs, like King of the Undead. If I tried to kill KoU now, at level 101, even with 1000 block and 1500 hp, it would probably be about 5 or 6 rounds, where as a comparable level storm or druid can do it in 1, 2 at the most. That is hardly fair.
Remedy? Well, it is the thief guild, and in all fairness, if we can't have a heal command, then we damn sure should be recognized for being stealthy. And in being stealthy, if you take a thief, a storm, and a druid of the same general level, the thief should take 2 out of the 3 hits that a storm or druid would take from a mob, maybe even half. That's what the thief guild is all about, the whole 'stealth' thing. Either that or allow thieves some sort of healing command, like 'bandage' or something, even if we have to use something to make the bandages, I don't care... we have plenty of useless skills that could be put into play for this, perhaps 'weaving' or something like that, who knows? Just a thought.

Wow, I waited way too long to post this time around, sorry about that. I'm up to 1500 hp now and I'm saving 15 million exp for some stealth.points to raise my guild points. I am going to get my GP to 1000, maybe even go for 1200 but I doubt I'll go that high, right now that is, maybe later on, but hey, I can AA that, so who knows.
I haven't died in awhile, that's a good thing, course, I don't really try killing anything tough much anymore. I did one round guardian the other day, that was pretty amazing. Usually takes me about a round and a third to half of another round to kill him nowadays.
Oh, and I'm stabbing again, in VoL mostly, so I'm getting more coins now. Pikachu has a freaking lot of coins though, don't know if I'll ever catch him. I mudmailed Fantom about the coins bug, or, should I say, lack there of, because there isn't a coins bug. If a person works hard at getting coins he can get a million a day pretty easily, but you sacrifice your exp and other things by just coining. As always, back to Tharsis...

I'm still exp'ing my way to 45 million, I'm almost to 42 million right now. I have neglected doing any stabs though, because I want to spend all my time getting experience instead. This means a lot of gposing, but almost no aa's for attack or pointed, which kind of sucks. It also means I've neglected my coin gathering, but with 30 million coins in the bank, I think I'm okay on that part of the game. I nearly died twice last night, Thom and King of Elfrea both got me down under 300, which may not sound bad, but for them, it's terrible, seeing how they each can lower you by more than 400 with their specials.
I am perplexed as to my lack of aa's in ot.st, but oh well. Once I get to 1500 I'm not really going to care anymore. I got 3 aa's last night for my guild points, which amazed me, that was some kind of miracle. Welp, back to Tharsis...

I'm rather annoyed today. I have had my bulletin board posting abilities removed. Why? No reason given. When? I was not told. For How Long? Again, not told. Who did it? Well, let's see, there is only one wizard that punishes people and doesn't give any reason for doing so, and doesn't ever try to talk to anyone about what he has done, and that's Puma.
I asked why I had my posting abilities revoked, he answered on gossip: "I already deleted the offensive post" as though, to say "sorry, can't remember" then he went on to joke about it with a bunch of the other players on the game like Poeun and Imanewbie. Well guess what jack ass, it's NOT a fucking joke to me!!! There were no offensive posts anywhere within any of the bulletin boards, so deletion or not he would not be able to produce any questionable posts either way. My only posts were to the thief guild board about people taking guild gear from our box and not returning it, I tell those people to not bother using our guild box, I have every god damn right to say that because I'm the most consistent of anyone in terms of providing quality gear for our guild box, I like our guild box having gear for the lower leveled players and I don't want it to end up like the storm or druid boxes that are nearly always empty. I have a great deal of pride in how we as a guild maintain our box.
Puma is a big part of the problem in Tharsis as to why so many people end up leaving the game. Certainly, most of his punishments may have good reason for being put into place, but he is WAY WAY over zealous with delving out punishment, and he has a double standard for dealing with newer players and the older players. An older player can get away with so much in the game where as someone who has only been there a year or so would get beheaded for the same thing. And god help you if you are a newbie player who does something, you are liable to be wiped.
I have had very few problems dealing with the other wizards in the game, Fantom has always given me good reason as to why he has done certain things, using the mud mail to contact me.
I don't care how much good Puma has done for the game, he has the wrong attitude for being a wizard and should be demoted to builder if he can't learn to deal with people on any level in terms of respect or consideration.

Yesterday I trained 40 levels of other.stamina from Metallica. This cost me 42,000,000 Exp. I got 22 Hp added to my overall total for training, so I went from 1444 Hp to 1466 Hp. My next session will be aproximately 45,000,000 Exp. That will take me probably another freaking week to get. And I'm likely to get about 20 out of it, so I'll need to train ot.st another time after that to get to 1500 Hp. I've been pretty much Exp'ing exclusively, doing gposes when my Gp is full (I'm lucky if I get one aa Gp a week doing that though, pretty sad how screwed up the system is). No botters in Darkmoor tonite for once, that was nice... anyways, off to bed I go.

Second To Last Death
Died To: fell from a trapdoor
Time: again, not sure, sometime around December 10th of 2003
Reason For Death: Hadn't tried quests before, so, I didn't realize you could die from falling.
Exp Lost: 9,000,000
Stat Lost: Dex
Coins Lost: None, no one knew where I died so I was able to get back to get my coins
-------------------------------------------------------
I was quite pissed off when this happened though... I doubt I'll even try quests from now on

Okay, first off, I understand my color schemes suck, and I'll be working on that, but for right now I'm just going to get right into things and not worry about the ugly colors.

Last Death
Died to: Banger, the fucking stupid reindeer
Time: Unsure, sometime around December 27, 2003, I believe
Reason for Death: I didn't know the bastard chased people out of the room he shares with Sven the gay elf. So when I left the room with 210/1418 Hp, I thought I was safe. Next thing I know I got kicked in the head and died.
Exp Lost: 20,000,000
Stat Lost: Con
Coins Lost: None, thanks to Huxley, he's a good guy, I would have lost more than a million but he got them for me.
-------------------------------------------------------
Took me a long time to regain that stinking experience, I'm saving up all for Hp (ot.st) now. Yes, I know, I could just dissect for that, but I want to get to 1500 Hp then start on my Gp again, I want to get my Gp to 1000 for starters, and maybe to 1200, I'll have to wait and see how I feel about that, and see what the price gets to. I know I'll need 10 million roughly for my first 40 st.po to raise my Gp. I need 42 million exp for my next ot.st, I'm at about 10 million tonite. I can gain about 1.2 million an hour, but that's without using my gp for stabs to aa pointed and attack, something I did a ton of while santa gear was in play.
Anyways, that's enough to talk about for now. I'll post again at another time.
